How are you doing on this fabulous day? Good, I hope. And I hope you have had an excellent week.
So glad you've come to join me for another installment of Meet the Blogger; where I get to introduce you to an interesting and inspiring blogger.
Jo's blog focuses on true crime cases as well as her thoughts on life, beauty, style and mental health. When she started her blog it was initially a lifestyle blog but it has since evolved into a weekly true crime blog.
Let's get to know her a little better shall we?
What inspires you to write/blog and where do you get your ideas from?
I started writing a lifestyle blog a few years ago as a way to share my thoughts and as a way to help other people. My blog has now evolved into a weekly true-crime blog with other things, like lifestyle and mental health thrown in.
Besides blogging, what else do you enjoy doing/what are your hobbies?
As well as researching true crime cases, I enjoy watching classic horror, cooking, pampering and reading.
What would you say is the most challenging part of blogging?
Blogging can be hard work and it's easy to get burnt out. It's important to take things at your own pace, look after yourself and relax.
What is your biggest fear?
Biggest fear is losing the ones I love to a horrible illness or to be stuck down with a terminal illness myself.
How do you de-stress after a long day?
I love to have candles around watch some documentaries as well as treating myself to a bubble bath.
Many think that blogging is dead, what is your opinion on this?
I think that now that we have more people starting YouTube channels, Instagram accounts and podcasts, it can be a bit difficult for traditional bloggers. There are a lot of people out there who prefer to read rather than listen to a podcast or watch a video.
What is your day job and what is your favourite thing about it?
I work in PR and really enjoy meeting and getting to know more people and brands.
What do you do to keep fit?
I like to dance to keep fit.
What is your "get up and go" song?
I have quite a few favourite songs to motivate me. If I'm in the gym it's be something from the Rocky soundtrack lol.
What is the most difficult challenge you've ever had to overcome and how did you overcome it?
I'm not sure when it comes to the biggest challenge I've had to face, I've had my ups and downs like most people. I suppose I could say anxiety and panic attacks, I learned how to control them and wrote about it to help others in my blog.
Thank you, Jo, for taking the time to join us here today. It's been a pleasure getting to know you. It's a great feeling when a successful blogger such as yourself takes the time to work with a blogger like me (if you know what I mean).
