18 Movies I Watched During Lock Down

Updated: May 9

I have had ample time on my hands and lockdown seems to have made it feel like I have even more time and I for one am not the type who is able to spend the whole day studying. Believe me, I have tried and it just never happens...

I love watching movies, be it horror, comedy, sci-fi you name it. If it seems interesting then I'm in. I like the experience of enjoying a good movie with someone but I've had to get used to watching movies alone due to circumstances and it's just not the same.

Growing up my dad used to hire videos then DVDs from the video store and we'd watch them as a family. Sometimes my mom would complain though because they weren't always age-appropriate. As long as there weren't naked people or sex, my dad allowed me to watch. We still watch movies together every now and then especially when my sister is in town but these days he hardly sits through an entire movie without falling asleep. Old age? Perhaps...

I just wanted to share the movies I have watched since lockdown began just in case you ever need a few ideas on what to watch next. I am so grateful to have Netflix otherwise I'm sure I'd be losing my mind in search of entertainment. I even got to watch some classics that everyone always spoke about that I just never got around to watching for some reason.

So if you're in search of your next movie for movie night, here are a few movies I've watched during the national lockdown, the years they came out as well as my personal rating out of 5 (1 being absolute garbage, 2 being meh, 3 average, 4 good and 5 being epic)I mean if I'm goin to spend all this time watching movies I may as well be uselful and rate them for you guys right?:

*By the way the above list was all streamed on Netflix.

I like to read and I've discovered that when the movies are based on books and I've actually read the book, the books' always better. It's nice to see how the directors and actors portrayed the characters though.

I tried not to be too much of a couch potato if you were expecting a longer list, that's why lol. I hope this movie list will help you when you're stuck on what to watch. Be warned, I've been told my taste is a bit weird lol, my mom doesn't like most of the stuff I watch because my movies tend to lean towards the violent side...

Movies with a plot twist are the best, don't you agree?

Which movies did you guys watch during the lockdown? Any recommendations?
